The ABA Convention Committee, Pittsburgh, cordially invites you to the third annual convention of the Association of Bhutanese in America. Each year, ABA organizes a convention of Bhutanese across the United States for two days of festivities, meetings, and interactions providing opportunities separated friends and families to reconnect, to build new friendships and relationships, to discuss our future as a community in a new land and to explore the venue of the convention.
4 years of efforts to establish a sustainable community organization of Bhutanese in the United States. The 2011 convention will be a culmination of the strategic planning process with technical assistance from the International Rescue Committee, funded by the Office of refugee Resettlement. Come to learn where ABA intends to go in the next few years and what goals we have set for ourselves.
Events include Welcome Dinner Party on Friday, July 1; ABA’s official convention and adoption of the strategic plan on July 2nd (9 AM to 4 PM); and fun and entertainment in the evenings and on July 3, 2011. Details coming soon.
